Waiotehue, Northland is rich native forestry with giant New Zealand trees including Kauri, Totara and Puriri. The bees gather honey locally from native trees such as Manuka, Tawiri, and Rewarewa . Surrounding the Kairangi 80 hectare native forestry block which feeds into the Awaroa stream, are various cattle farms with clover and pasture.
The honey taste has a mixture of deep manuka flavours and mild clover smoothness.
